As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be at the forefront of Enakl’s technical evolution. Your primary responsibilities include designing and implementing backend services that power the platform’s core features, such as real‑time routing, vehicle tracking, and user management. You will work closely with the CTO and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable code.
Key technical challenges involve building a multi‑tenant architecture that supports thousands of daily users while ensuring data isolation and security. You will implement tenant isolation mechanisms, fine‑grained access control using ACL, RBAC, and ABAC models, and optimize database performance in PostgreSQL. Your expertise in Node.js and NestJS will be critical for developing high‑throughput APIs and microservices.
Beyond coding, you will own the entire lifecycle of backend services—from design and implementation to monitoring and continuous improvement. This includes refactoring legacy code, writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, and collaborating with DevOps to deploy on AWS infrastructure. You will also contribute to the technical roadmap, mentor junior developers, and participate in code reviews to uphold best practices.
