About the Role
Enakl is a fast‑growing startup dedicated to transforming everyday travel in emerging megacities through intelligent collective mobility solutions. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will spearhead the migration of our existing SaaS platform to a robust multi‑tenant architecture, ensuring seamless scalability and data isolation for both B2B and consumer booking workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own critical backend domains and lead refactoring of production systems to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Design and implement tenant isolation, access control, and fine‑grained permissions across the platform.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO and product team to define architectural direction and technical roadmaps.
- Optimize PostgreSQL data models, write efficient SQL queries, and tune database performance.
- Champion best practices in testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of quality and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 6–9 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
- Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, SQL, and multi‑tenant system design.
- Experience with refactoring production codebases and writing comprehensive tests.
- Familiarity with AWS services and SaaS deployment models.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for building reliable, high‑performance systems.
