Job Overview

Enakl, a fast‑growing startup in the collective mobility space, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – SaaS to lead the design and implementation of its core backend services. This role is fully remote (RM) and offers a competitive monthly salary of 22,000–26,000 MAD.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable, multi‑tenant SaaS backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Design and enforce tenant isolation and access control mechanisms to ensure data security across multiple clients.
• Refactor legacy codebases, improve code quality, and implement automated testing strategies.
• Optimize database performance with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Implement background job processing and event‑driven architectures to support real‑time features.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, data, DevOps) to deliver high‑quality features.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the engineering culture.

Required Experience & Skills

• 6–9 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience building multi‑tenant systems with tenant isolation and fine‑grained access control.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, background job processing, and event‑driven architectures.
• Excellent refactoring, testing, and code review skills.

Education & Language

Master’s degree (BAC +5) in Computer Science or related field. Fluent in English.

Working Conditions

Remote work (RM) with occasional on‑site meetings in Casablanca for final interviews.
