Role Overview

Enakl is a fast‑growing mobility startup that transforms everyday commuting in emerging megacities. As a Senior Backend Engineer – SaaS, you will architect and build core backend services that power a multi‑tenant platform serving thousands of users daily. Your responsibilities include designing scalable APIs, implementing robust data models in PostgreSQL, enforcing tenant isolation and access control (ACL, RBAC, ABAC), and ensuring production reliability through observability, logging, and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Design and maintain a multi‑tenant architecture with strict tenant isolation and secure access control.
• Optimize database performance, write efficient SQL queries, and tune PostgreSQL for high throughput.
• Implement unit and integration tests, ensuring code quality through rigorous testing and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver features that meet user needs.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Technical Challenges

Expect to solve real‑world problems such as scaling API throughput, refactoring legacy code, and improving system observability. You will be evaluated on your ability to write clean, maintainable code, design scalable solutions, and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Recruitment Process
