Enakl is a Moroccan mobility startup transforming everyday travel in emerging megacities. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to spearhead the transition of our core backend systems to a robust SaaS architecture. The role involves designing and implementing scalable, multi‑tenant services, ensuring tenant isolation, and enforcing fine‑grained access control (ACL, RBAC, ABAC). You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL, performing live production refactoring, unit and integration testing, and performance tuning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting and evolving the backend for a 30‑k+ user base.
• Implementing multi‑tenant patterns and tenant isolation.
• Designing and enforcing access control policies.
• Optimizing database performance and query efficiency.
• Building event‑driven services and background job pipelines.
• Leveraging AWS infrastructure for scalability and resilience.
• Ensuring system reliability through observability, logging, and diagnostics.
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 6‑9 years of experience, a Master’s level education (BAC +5), and is fluent in English. The position is fully remote (RM) with a competitive monthly salary of 22,000–26,000 MAD.
