Enakl, a Moroccan mobility startup, is transforming daily commutes across emerging megacities with intelligent collective transport solutions. The company’s core product is a multi‑tenant SaaS platform that aggregates thousands of users, delivering real‑time routing, booking, and analytics. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire backend stack, from API design to database schema evolution, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting and maintaining the core backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Designing and implementing multi‑tenant data models with robust tenant isolation and access‑control policies (ACL, RBAC, ABAC).
• Optimizing PostgreSQL performance, writing efficient SQL queries, and tuning database parameters.
• Refactoring legacy codebases to improve maintainability and reduce technical debt.
• Developing comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams (product, data, DevOps) to deliver new features.
• Managing background job pipelines and event‑driven workflows.
• Leveraging AWS services for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

The role is fully remote, with occasional onsite meetings in Casablanca for final interviews. The contract is a permanent CDI, offering a competitive monthly salary of 22,000–26,000 MAD. Candidates must have 6–9 years of experience in backend engineering, a BAC +5 degree, and fluency in English.
