The role of Senior Backend Engineer – SaaS Platform is a full‑time, remote position (RM) that offers the opportunity to shape the core backend architecture of a rapidly scaling platform. The engineer will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing robust, multi‑tenant backend services that support dynamic customer isolation and secure data segregation.
• Developing APIs and microservices in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, ensuring clean, maintainable code that aligns with industry best practices.
• Optimizing PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies to handle high traffic and large data volumes.
• Implementing fine‑grained access control mechanisms (RBAC, ABAC) and integrating them with existing authentication flows.
• Continuously refactoring live production code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborating with the CTO on product strategy, architecture decisions, and technology roadmaps.
• Working closely with the founder and product team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participating in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing sessions to elevate the engineering culture.

Key technical skills required include:

• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with experience building scalable services.
• Deep knowledge of NestJS framework and its modular architecture.
• Strong background in PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with multi‑tenant architecture, data isolation, and secure access control.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication with distributed teams.

Enakl offers a competitive salary range of 22,000 to 26,000 MAD per month, reflecting the high level of expertise required. The position is open to candidates with at least six years of experience in backend development, preferably within SaaS or high‑traffic platforms.
