About the Role

Enakl, a fast‑growing startup in collective mobility, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to spearhead the development of its SaaS platform. The engineer will work closely with the CTO and product teams to design, implement, and maintain core backend services that support thousands of daily users across Morocco and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Implement multi‑tenant architecture with strong tenant isolation and access control (ACL, RBAC, ABAC).
• Optimize database performance on PostgreSQL, including query tuning and indexing.
• Refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability and performance.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define product requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with NestJS framework.
• Strong SQL skills and deep knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience building multi‑tenant systems with tenant isolation.
• Solid understanding of access control mechanisms (ACL, RBAC, ABAC).
• Expertise in code refactoring and performance tuning.
• Strong testing mindset: unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures and background job processing.
• Experience with AWS services and infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in building real‑time data pipelines.
