Yakeey, a fast‑growing PropTech company headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco, is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join its dynamic team on a freelance basis. The role is pivotal in shaping the user experience across three core product lines: the property marketplace, the credit application and processing platform, and the valuation tool. The successful candidate will own the frontend architecture for one of these domains, ensuring that the UI is not only visually compelling but also technically robust, scalable, and aligned with the company’s overarching data‑driven strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance interfaces using React.js and Next.js, adhering to the company’s design system and architectural standards.
• Create reusable components that seamlessly integrate with backend APIs, following the Model Context Protocol (MCP) where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with backend, data, DevOps, and AI teams to understand dependencies and ensure smooth integration of frontend and backend services.
• Apply T‑shaped skills to anticipate how backend logic, data flows, and deployment considerations impact frontend design and performance.
• Participate in architectural discussions, sharing insights from the domain and learning from other teams to contribute to a cohesive platform strategy.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, accessibility, security, and performance optimization.
• Mentor junior developers and foster knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications:

• 6‑9 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Deep expertise in React.js, Next.js, and MUI.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with design systems or component libraries.
• Broad knowledge of backend technologies (Java/Spring Boot) and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with AI, especially large language models (LLMs), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in French, English, and Arabic is a plus.
• Familiarity with fintech, proptech, or similar regulated domains is beneficial.
