Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will provide independent, high‑level technical and general accounting services in line with IQVIA Finance SOPs, US GAAP, Sarbanes‑Oxley and local tax regulations. The role supports month‑end close, ensures audit‑ready records, and collaborates with business partners on financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end processes and reconciliations within established deadlines.
• Maintain comprehensive accounting documentation for internal controls and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with IQVIA SOPs, US GAAP, French GAAP and relevant legal requirements.
• Communicate financial information to business partners and provide decision‑support as needed.
• Identify process improvements, recommend system enhancements, and participate in finance‑related projects.
• Oversee detailed account reconciliations, resolve open items, and manage one or more accounting modules (A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets, General Ledger).
• Guide junior staff and may assume responsibility for a small legal entity or regional tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Strong analytical and numeracy abilities with a solid grasp of technical accounting concepts.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP accounting modules.
• Knowledge of French GAAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Technical accounting expertise.
