About the role

Renew Capital is seeking an AI & Automation Intern to help explore, implement, and operationalize artificial intelligence tools that enhance internal workflows, research processes, and data analysis. The role offers hands‑on experience in applying emerging AI technologies to real‑world business challenges within a pan‑African investment firm.

Key responsibilities

• Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and platforms that can improve internal productivity.
• Assist in developing and testing AI‑driven solutions for automation, data processing, and knowledge management.
• Support the integration of AI tools into daily operations, including documentation, reporting, and research tasks.
• Build simple AI‑powered workflows using platforms such as Gemini.
• Help develop internal guidelines and best practices for responsible AI usage.
• Research AI trends relevant to venture capital, startups, and investment ecosystems.
• Create internal documentation, training materials, and tutorials to facilitate AI adoption.
• Experiment with AI for data analysis, document summarization, and workflow optimization.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Gemini and ChatGPT.
• Basic understanding of data analysis, automation tools, or prompt engineering (a plus).
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
