Azure Platform Engineer – Data Platform

About the role

We are expanding our Azure Data Platform (ADP) team and need an Azure Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers our data initiatives. You will enable engineering teams to deliver data solutions faster through automation, self‑service, and robust platform capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure platform features for ADP.
• Drive DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and product managers to ensure optimal performance and developer experience.
• Leverage Azure services to create secure, cloud‑native infrastructure integrated with existing systems.
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform, applying best‑practice cloud architecture.
• Promote Agile delivery and continuous improvement within the team.
• Work closely with data engineers to build seamless data workflows, especially with Databricks.
• Automate monitoring and key processes to improve platform resilience and reduce operational overhead.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in Azure services and Terraform.
• Proven ability to design platform features that boost developer productivity.
• Deep understanding of DevOps, continuous delivery pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with data‑focused cloud environments, analytics, and networking.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Proactive problem‑solver capable of tackling scalability and automation challenges.
