About the role
The Customer Service Support Assistant provides intermediate‑level assistance to Greif’s customers, handling inquiries, orders and issue resolution across phone, email and online chat. This role supports both inside and outside sales while maintaining accurate customer records.
Key responsibilities
- Interact with customers via telephone, email, chat or in person to deliver complex product and service information.
- Maintain detailed customer accounts, documenting inquiries, complaints and comments.
- Communicate pricing, shipping dates and order details to ensure fulfillment and satisfaction.
- Contact customers regarding complex inquiries, claim investigations or planned adjustments.
- Collect and enter orders for new or additional products and services.
- Support inside and outside sales teams.
- Update and maintain files, performing accurate data entry.
- Escalate first‑level issues and forward unresolved problems to specialists.
- Train new Customer Service Coordinators.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of customer service or related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
Required skills
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Data entry accuracy.
- Operation of basic office equipment such as copiers, fax machines and calculators.
