Customs Manager

About the role

Speedaf, an integrated logistics service provider operating in emerging markets, is seeking a detail‑oriented Customs Manager to lead its customs clearance operations in Casablanca. The role ensures regulatory compliance, efficient cargo release and smooth coordination with customs authorities, freight forwarders and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all import and export customs declarations, manage documentation and coordinate inspections to guarantee timely cargo release.
• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading and other required paperwork.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve exceptions such as inspections, detentions or delays, and maintain accurate clearance records.
• Ensure strict compliance with Moroccan customs regulations and international trade agreements, updating procedures as policies change.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge base for HS‑code classification, duty calculation and drawback/tax refund processes.
• Act as the primary liaison with customs authorities, freight forwarders, suppliers and internal departments to solve clearance issues and support on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics Management, Customs Affairs, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in customs clearance or customs management, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding.
• Holder of a valid Moroccan customs clearing license (Agrément en douane) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan import/export procedures, tariff policies and regulatory requirements.
