Data Engineer – Global Data Lake (Bouskoura)

About the role

As a Data Engineer based in Bouskoura, you will be a key contributor to the FRÄNKISCHE Group’s digital transformation. Reporting locally to the Moroccan entity and functionally to the German headquarters, you will help build and scale a global Data Lake that serves multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Expand, maintain, and optimize the Data Lake infrastructure, installing new components and ensuring smooth operations.
• Consolidate isolated data sources into a central platform and integrate new sources using modern ETL tools.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, continuously improving system reliability and performance.
• Build and manage a global data catalog to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with business departments to gather requirements and support documentation culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and solution‑oriented problem solving.
• Excellent English communication skills; French and Arabic are strong assets.
• Team spirit, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
