Data Engineer

About the role

SII Group Morocco is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, reporting and machine‑learning workloads across its offices in Casablanca, Oujda and Rabat.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse data sources.
• Model and optimise relational and big‑data storage systems.
• Build APIs and data services for internal consumers.
• Deploy and manage cloud‑based data platforms on AWS, Azure or GCP.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking and clear communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and solve problems.
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams.
• Understanding of data modelling and data integration concepts.

Required skills

• SQL and relational databases.
• Apache Spark, Hadoop and other distributed compute frameworks.
• Python programming.
• APIs and micro‑services development.
• Cloud services (AWS S3, Azure, GCP BigQuery, Redshift, etc.).
• High‑performance computing frameworks.
