Electrical Engineer

About the role

Harmattan AI is building autonomous defense systems and seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic boards and embedded systems for UAVs. The role involves creating high‑performance hardware that integrates with flight controllers, companion computers and other mission‑critical components.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture and design physical/electrical integration of complex embedded systems using processors, DDR, Flash and peripheral devices.
• Create detailed schematics and perform board placement/routing while managing fast‑signal constraints.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and GNC teams to ensure seamless physical and sensor integration.
• Address EMC challenges, ensure signal integrity, and troubleshoot board issues.
• Conduct testing, integration and performance validation to meet operational requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in complex electronic system design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact with junior staff to senior executives.
• Commitment to the company’s mission and willingness to go the extra mile.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic CAD tools such as Altium.
• Experience using electronic test equipment for validation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of processors, memory domains (DDR, Flash) and high‑speed signal routing.
