Engineering Manager – Hotel Facilities

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead all engineering and maintenance operations for the Rabat Marriott Hotel, ensuring the building, grounds, and physical plant operate safely, efficiently, and in line with guest expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the physical plant, including HVAC‑R, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and water‑treatment systems.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and fire‑prevention standards.
• Develop and manage the engineering budget, capital‑expenditure projects, and energy‑conservation initiatives.
• Create and administer service contracts, preventive‑maintenance schedules, and repair work orders.
• Supervise maintenance of grounds, guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, vehicles, and recreational facilities.
• Plan and execute renovation or new‑construction projects, handling contractor bids and on‑site supervision.
• Maintain relationships with city building/zoning departments, fire‑prevention bureaus, and vendors.
• Conduct monthly property inspections and guest‑room checks to uphold quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of engineering/maintenance experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related field with at least 2 years of experience.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical, and plumbing systems.
