Engineering Technician – Documentation & ERP Control

About the role

The Engineering Technician is the production‑facing owner of controlled engineering documentation and ERP master data for heavy‑gauge thermoforming programs. This role ensures that SolidWorks and EPDM released specifications, as well as NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, and work order packets, are accurate and reflect the latest approved release before production work orders are issued.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and re‑release SolidWorks drawings, layouts, and specifications for production.
• Maintain EPDM/PDM records, metadata, revision history, and manage redlines and legacy drawing cleanup.
• Execute quick‑turn drawing edits and controlled releases to support urgent production needs.
• Create and maintain NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, work instructions, and packaging instructions.
• Perform BOM and inventory hygiene to ensure work order accuracy.
• Administer the Engineering Change Request (ECR/ECO) process end‑to‑end, including routing approvals and documentation.
• Manage deviations, ensuring proper classification, approval, and closure.
• Participate in daily production cadence and Production Launch Error Proof meetings to eliminate documentation‑driven downtime.

Required profile

• Experience in managing engineering documentation and ERP master data within a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• SolidWorks
• EPDM (Enterprise Product Data Management) or similar PDM system
• NetSuite ERP
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 document control requirements
• BOM creation and maintenance
