Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the accounting and financial planning functions, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting strategic decision‑making. This senior position oversees day‑to‑day finance operations, liaises with internal and external stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement of financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Ensure timely, accurate recording of all transactions and periodic reconciliations.
• Maintain and update the fixed‑assets register.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and stay current with new reporting standards.
• Manage customer billing, payments, and follow‑up of receivables.
• Oversee vendor payments, resolve disputes, and manage petty‑cash processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc financial statements and reports for management and shareholders.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure compliance with IFRS, audit standards and VAT regulations.
• Design and maintain MIS and business‑review reporting templates.
• Lead cost reporting for projects, including variation order reviews.
• Supervise, evaluate and develop the finance team, fostering morale and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting.
• Proven ability to manage a finance team and interact with senior management.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder liaison.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Understanding of VAT laws and audit standards.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and audit coordination.
• Proficiency in preparing MIS and cost‑reporting documents.
