Financial Analyst – Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15)

About the role

As a Financial Analyst you will support Alithya’s controller by focusing on revenue recognition under IFRS 15. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Calculate month‑end revenue recognition for Alithya’s service offerings.
• Perform document analysis and controls to comply with SOX and 52‑109 requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations to gather information for accurate revenue recognition.
• Assist external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc financial analyses, process‑improvement initiatives, and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue‑recognition principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• CPA or CPA‑in‑progress is a plus.
• Experience in the service or software industry and long‑term project accounting is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel abilities.
• Knowledge of IFRS 15 revenue‑recognition standards.
