FP&A Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The FP&A Manager drives Abbott’s financial performance by leading planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis. Partnering with senior management and business teams, the role provides high‑quality financial insights to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecast and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models for P&L, cash flow and CAPEX.
• Analyse actual versus budget/forecast variances and communicate key drivers to senior management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and dashboards with financial and operational KPIs.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, HR, IT and other functions to challenge assumptions and support strategic projects.
• Identify risks and opportunities, deliver ad‑hoc analyses and support investment business cases.
• Improve and automate planning and reporting processes, enhancing data accuracy and consistency.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A or financial controlling, preferably in an international or matrix environment.
• At least 2 years of team‑management experience.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and financial analysis.
• Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP/BI tools such as SAP, Oracle, Power BI or Anaplan.
