About the role
Versigent is looking for a Freight Specialist to ensure continuous monitoring and coordination of goods transport from reception to dispatch. You will act as the central point of contact for carriers and forwarders, guaranteeing smooth flow of shipments to the factory.
Key responsibilities
- Manage relationships with forwarders and carriers, proposing optimal carrier selections.
- Develop and maintain the weekly pick‑up schedule for carriers.
- Track trailer status in Algeciras and Tangier and monitor merchandise through predefined checkpoints.
- Optimize transport costs by monitoring trailer usage, occupation rates, and mileage.
- Prepare weekly statistics on transport costs and performance.
- Supervise reception and shipping activities to avoid disruptions.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Logistics or an equivalent qualification.
- Advanced proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
