Hardware Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Hardware Engineer to join ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco’s electronics team. You will be responsible for designing and laying out printed circuit boards (PCBs) for our automotive, railway, IT, R&D and telecom projects.

Key responsibilities

• Place electronic components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.) on PCB layouts.
• Route signal, power and ground traces while managing multilayer stack‑ups.
• Apply design rules and manufacturing constraints (DFM, DFA, DFT) to ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal performance and reliability.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation such as Gerber files, ODB++, pick‑and‑place data and Bill of Materials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues and support prototype testing.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems, electronics or a related engineering field.
• At least one year of hands‑on experience in PCB design or hardware engineering.
• Strong understanding of electronic schematics and component datasheets.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• PCB layout and routing.
• Signal integrity and power integrity basics.
• EMC/EMI considerations.
• Thermal analysis for PCB designs.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Test (DFT).
• Generation of Gerber, ODB++ and pick‑and‑place files.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610).
