Hardware Engineer – PCB Layout & Design

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team in Morocco. You will be responsible for the physical design of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for projects in automotive, railway, IT, R&D and telecom sectors, ensuring high quality and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Place electronic components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.) on PCB layouts.
• Route signal, power and ground traces while managing multilayer stack‑ups.
• Apply design rules and manufacturing constraints (DFM, DFA, DFT) to guarantee signal integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal performance and reliability.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation such as Gerber files, ODB++, pick‑and‑place data and Bill of Materials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve layout issues and optimize designs.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems, electronics or a related engineering field.
• At least one year of hands‑on experience in PCB design or hardware engineering.
• Strong understanding of electronics schematics and component specifications.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and effective communication with other teams.

Required skills

• PCB layout and component placement.
• Signal routing, multilayer stack‑up management.
• Signal integrity, power integrity, EMC/EMI and thermal analysis.
• Design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and design for testing (DFT).
• Generation of Gerber, ODB++ files and pick‑and‑place data.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610).
• Reading datasheets and application notes.
