Hardware Engineer – PCB Layout

About the role

As a Hardware Engineer at ALTEN Maroc, you will join a dynamic team working on automotive electronic projects. You will be responsible for the physical layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and ensure that designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Place electronic components such as ICs, resistors, capacitors, and connectors on PCB layouts.
• Route signal, power, and ground traces while managing multilayer stack‑ups.
• Apply design rules for DFM, DFA, and DFT and verify signal integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal performance, and reliability.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation including Gerber files, ODB++, pick‑and‑place files, and bill of materials.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in engineering or a related field with a focus on embedded systems.
• At least one successful experience in electronics hardware design or PCB physical layout.
• Strong understanding of electronics schematics and ability to read datasheets and application notes.

Required skills

• PCB layout and routing.
• Multilayer stack‑up design.
• Signal integrity and power integrity basics.
• EMC/EMI considerations.
• Thermal analysis for PCB designs.
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and IPC standards (IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610).
• Creation of Gerber, ODB++, pick‑and‑place files, and BOMs.
