HR Assistant – Learning & Capability Building

About the role

Boston Consulting Group is looking for an HR Assistant to support its Learning & Capability Building function across Africa. You will be the operational backbone for training programmes, ensuring smooth delivery, accurate tracking and continuous improvement of the learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the SABA LMS platform – update content, manage enrolments and maintain learner access.
• Track individual training and development action plans and ensure follow‑up after performance discussions.
• Own reporting and monitoring of mandatory and local trainings in partnership with the Core HR Manager.
• Collect and analyse training feedback, turning insights into actionable improvements.
• Coordinate training communications, logistics, room bookings and trainer support for local sessions.
• Align local delivery with regional and global L&D initiatives and support roll‑out of global action plans.
• Maintain training budgets, vendor invoices and KPI dashboards (completion, participation rates).
• Manage external training requests, approvals and follow‑up.
• Collaborate daily with onboarding colleagues to ensure a seamless learning journey for new joiners.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders across regions.
• Good analytical mindset for reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Proactive communication style and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with SABA or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Proficiency in data tracking, reporting and basic budget administration.
