HR Generalist – MEA Region

About the role

We are seeking an HR Generalist to lead our human‑resources function across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. You will ensure that Harmattan AI’s HR policies, contracts and processes comply with local labour legislation while providing a trusted, day‑to‑day partner for employees and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Own compliance with the Labour Code in each MEA country, adapting contracts, work rules and HR policies to local requirements.
• Manage relationships with labour inspectorates and other authorities, handling filings, registrations and inspections.
• Oversee the monthly payroll cycle with local providers, validate variable inputs and ensure accurate payslips, social and tax declarations.
• Administer employee records, contracts, amendments, disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution in line with local law.
• Run onboarding and off‑boarding processes, coordinate cross‑border mobility and manage work authorisations for foreign nationals.
• Serve as the primary HR point of contact in the region, providing daily support and maintaining employee‑manager partnership.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing HR functions in the MEA region.
• Deep knowledge of local employment law, payroll regulations and employee representation obligations.
• Ability to liaise with government authorities and handle compliance audits.
• Strong organisational skills to manage contracts, benefits, leave and mobility processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the HiBob HRIS platform.
• General HRIS competency for payroll and personnel administration.
