HV/MV Substation Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and maintain high‑voltage electrical documentation for 110 kV / 15 kV substations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑voltage electrical drawings and engineering documentation using Engineering Base (E‑Base).
• Create and update single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, terminal plans and interconnection schematics.
• Define and manage interfaces between switchgear, protection, control‑command systems and auxiliary AC/DC power supplies.
• Produce engineering deliverables such as cable schedules, signal lists, equipment lists and technical documentation.
• Analyze customer requirements and ensure compliance with electrical standards and project specifications.
• Perform technical reviews, validate documentation quality and assess design changes.
• Support troubleshooting activities, conduct root‑cause analysis and propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare technical reports, review minutes and design documentation in English.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in the design of HV/MV substations.
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage and medium‑voltage substations and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience developing and reviewing high‑voltage electrical drawings, including single‑line and wiring diagrams.
• Good understanding of protection, control‑command and auxiliary power supply systems.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
