IB Diploma Programme Core Teacher

About the role

Casablanca American School is seeking an experienced and passionate educator to deliver the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) component of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The teacher will guide students through the TOK essay and exhibition, fostering critical thinking, inquiry, and interdisciplinary connections.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Theory of Knowledge (TOK) to IB Diploma Programme students.
• Guide and mentor students through the development and completion of the TOK Essay and TOK Exhibition.
• Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and interdisciplinary inquiry.
• Establish clear timelines and checkpoints to support student success with TOK requirements.
• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and offer individualized support.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal and external IB deadlines.
• Collaborate with IB teachers, coordinators, counselors, and administrators to enhance student achievement.
• Participate actively in school events, professional development, and faculty initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme.
• Strong understanding of IB philosophy, assessment practices, and student‑centered instruction.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate, and support students in achieving academic success.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
