Industrial Engineering Intern – Process Improvement

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking a motivated intern to support the improvement of MTBI (Mean Time Between Incidents) through analysis, optimization, and documentation. You will collaborate with engineers and technical experts to identify enhancement opportunities and help implement practical solutions that boost performance, reliability, and usability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the current MTBI process, workflow, or system.
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose actionable enhancements.
• Support data collection, testing, and validation activities.
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and presentation of findings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement improvements.
• Assist in preparing technical summaries and recommendations.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, electronics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in process improvement, systems optimization, or technical development.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with Excel.
• Basic proficiency with Python.
• Basic proficiency with MATLAB.
