IT Consultant – Access & Systems Management

About the role

We are looking for an IT Consultant to lead access and systems management, strengthen security protocols, and optimise our shared‑drive architecture. The consultant will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data security and efficient workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and improve security protocols for laptop access, shared drives, file systems, user accounts and password management.
• Recommend and apply IT security best practices and manage user permissions based on employee roles.
• Conduct periodic audits of user access and permissions.
• Analyse the current shared‑drive structure, propose a logical, secure and scalable folder architecture, and organise drives and permissions accordingly.
• Standardise document organisation and access‑management practices.
• Support and maintain internal data‑management systems and collaborative platforms.
• Assist in improving internal IT processes and workflows, providing user support for system access and usage.
• Investigate technical issues, data breaches or software failures and propose actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, helping staff transition to new systems and teaching best practices for data security and productivity.
• Support IT onboarding and off‑boarding, including account creation, access provisioning, equipment setup and timely removal of access for departing employees.
• Maintain up‑to‑date access lists and IT inventory records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT security, access management and systems administration.
• Strong analytical skills to audit permissions and design scalable folder structures.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Excellent communication skills to train staff on security and productivity best practices.
