IT Manager – Lead Local IT Operations

About the role

The IT Manager will lead and coordinate the local IT team, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and acting as the primary liaison between the business unit and the global IT Shared Service Centre. This role drives digital transformation initiatives and aligns local IT strategy with global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coordinate the local IT team.
• Represent the IT organisation to local management and all business departments.
• Serve as the main interface between the Operational Business Unit and the global IT Shared Service Centre.
• Coordinate and manage all IT‑related requests, projects and activities within the business unit.
• Ensure availability, performance and security of IT infrastructure, systems, networks and end‑user services.
• Monitor IT service delivery and support activities to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Drive digital transformation projects, including cloud solutions, automation and AI.
• Define and implement local IT strategies in line with global standards.
• Lead IT projects from feasibility analysis through implementation.
• Manage incidents, changes, problem resolution and continuous service improvement.
• Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies, cyber‑security and information‑security standards.
• Develop, maintain and test disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity plans.
• Manage the local IT budget, monitor costs and support investment planning.
• Coordinate vendor relationships, contract negotiations and service reviews.
• Monitor IT performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, operations or management, preferably in an international or multinational environment.
• At least 5 years of proven team‑leadership and project‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, servers, operating systems and end‑user support.
• Experience with IT service‑management processes and best practices.
• Good understanding of information security, cyber‑security and business‑continuity management.
