Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will perform dimensional and geometrical testing to ensure product quality and compliance with engineering specifications. You will work closely with the quality and engineering teams, supporting new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and apply GPS and tolerance standards.
• Conduct measurements using CMM, 3‑D scanners and other metrology equipment.
• Create and run measurement programs with PC‑DMIS, Calypso or MCOSMOS.
• Manage calibration of measurement tools and validate external calibration certificates.
• Support APQP processes, perform MSA studies and evaluate process capability for new projects.
• Identify non‑conforming dimensions, stop production when necessary, and ensure containment of quality defects.
• Provide measurement data to the APQP engineer and ensure timely laboratory deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Metrology, Industrial Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a metrology laboratory.
• Professional proficiency in French and intermediate English.

• Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) and tolerance analysis.
• PC‑DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS software.
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation.
• 3‑D scanning equipment.
• Calibration management and verification.
• Measurement System Analysis (MSA) methodology.
• APQP documentation and process capability assessment.
