Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer you will support quality assurance activities within the manufacturing environment, focusing on real‑time defect prevention, problem resolution and ensuring compliance with customer‑specific requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary quality contact for customers, manage complaints using the 8D methodology and conduct customer audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen), analyse internal defects and monitor KPIs such as PPM, scrap rate and first‑pass yield.
• Lead quality‑related projects including new product introductions, transfer projects and process changes, coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Implement and maintain control plans, inspection standards and validate process capability (Cp/Cpk); support internal, external and customer audits.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar quality engineering role.
• Strong customer communication, leadership and problem‑solving mindset.
• Proactive attitude with a sense of ownership.

Required skills

• 8D problem‑solving methodology.
• Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen improvement tools.
• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA and SPC.
• PFMEA / DFMEA risk analysis.
• Process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk) and mistake‑proofing (Poka‑Yoke).
• Compliance with ISO quality standards.
