Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer

About the role

OmniOps, a Riyadh‑based technology solutions provider, is looking for a Mid‑Level QA Automation Engineer to ensure the reliability and security of its data‑science and AI inferencing platform. You will design test cases, develop automation scripts, and validate integrations across services such as JupyterHub, ticketing systems, and CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and execute comprehensive test cases for complex workflows (cluster creation, resource allocation, notebook integration).
• Develop and extend automated UI test suites using Playwright with Python (and optionally TypeScript).
• Perform integration testing of micro‑services, verifying data flows between ticketing, service allocation engines and JupyterHub/NotebookLLM.
• Conduct basic security testing, including authentication/authorization, RBAC, API endpoint checks and secure communication validation.
• Test REST APIs and validate data integrity in PostgreSQL databases.
• Execute manual exploratory, functional and regression testing as needed.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and log defects in JIRA.
• Prepare test execution reports and collaborate with product and development teams.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of web security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10, JWT, OAuth, RBAC).
• Experience working in an AI or data‑science environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Playwright (Python) – primary automation framework.
• TypeScript, Selenium, Cypress, pytest, TestNG, JUnit (optional).
• SQL querying for PostgreSQL.
• REST API testing with Postman.
• CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Defect tracking in JIRA.
