Model Based Design Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco is looking for a Model Based Design Engineer to join its automotive embedded software team. You will work on the development, integration and validation of ECU software using model‑based techniques and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain unit tests for embedded software on automotive ECUs.
• Integrate software components into ECU platforms, ensuring hardware and network compatibility.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of software defects, communication issues and ECU malfunctions.
• Use diagnostic tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, UDS, DoIP, OBD‑II) and vehicle logs to identify and resolve issues.
• Flash software onto ECUs and develop UDS diagnostic services, DTCs and fault‑memory strategies.
• Analyse communication traces (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) for anomalies or performance problems.
• Support integration tests on benches, HIL systems and in‑vehicle testing.
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE and cybersecurity requirements.
• Create and maintain documentation such as SRS, SDD, design reviews and traceability matrices.
• Collaborate with testing teams to define validation strategies and achieve robust test coverage.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Model‑Based Development for automotive applications.
• Strong project planning, technical coordination and risk‑management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with fluency in English.
