Operations Associate – Continuous Improvement

About the role

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. The Operations Associate will support continuous improvement across safety, operations, maintenance and ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in continuous learning across terminal functions including Safety, Operations, Maintenance, and Ways of Working.
• Support cross‑functional projects, kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track and drive improvement actions, ensuring timely completion and effective communication of results.
• Develop, maintain and update operational documentation, standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor KPIs, maintain performance dashboards and support regular reporting activities.

Required profile

• Continuous‑improvement mindset with curiosity about how work gets done.
• Master’s or Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Civil Engineering, IT, Statistics or Business Administration.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
• Advanced computer literacy combined with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
