The Laboratory of Theoretical Physics and High Energy Physics (LPTHE) at Ibn Zohr University seeks motivated candidates for a PhD position in theoretical and gravitational physics for the 2026/2027 academic year. The research will focus on cutting‑edge topics such as dark‑sector supported wormholes, holographic properties of black holes, and multi‑messenger tests of modified gravity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and analyze theoretical models related to wormholes, black‑hole entropy, or modified gravity.
• Perform analytical calculations and numerical simulations to explore stability, imaging, and gravitational‑wave signatures.
• Collaborate with the supervisor and research group to publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Present results at conferences and seminars.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics or a closely related field.
• Strong academic background in at least one of: theoretical physics, general relativity, high‑energy physics, quantum physics, astrophysics, cosmology, or mathematical physics.
• Genuine interest in fundamental research and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Analytical methods
• Numerical methods
