Principal Environmental Consultant – ESIA Planning & Assessment

About the role

SLR is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead the strategic growth of its ESIA services in North Africa. The role focuses on renewables, energy, infrastructure, and mining projects, aligning deliverables with international lender requirements and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development for ESIA and sustainability advisory services across the region.
• Serve as Project Director on high‑profile assignments, overseeing technical quality, risk management, and budget compliance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through the full ESIA lifecycle, from baseline studies to final reporting.
• Integrate international best practices and lender standards into project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and technical excellence.

Required profile

• Proactive, solutions‑driven professional with extensive experience managing large, complex environmental and social projects.
• Demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of North African markets and international financing requirements.
