Process Controller

About the role

The Process Controller supports terminal operations by ensuring the smooth reception, processing, staging, and movement of containers and cargo. Working within defined procedures, the role combines technical, administrative and operational tasks to maintain efficient port activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, transit, storage and marshalling of containers and cargo at the terminal.
• Oversee loading and unloading of transport conveyances, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Execute manifesting and forwarding of cargo to its destination.
• Apply standardized work routines while exercising independent judgment within set guidelines.
• Escalate non‑routine problems to senior colleagues or supervisors as required.
• Support colleagues by performing skilled technical and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Limited prior job and business knowledge; willingness to learn on the job.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and work under supervision.
• Good judgment within defined boundaries and the capacity to identify when escalation is needed.
• Basic training or experience in terminal or logistics operations is advantageous.
