Product Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Product Development Engineer to join our engineering team in the Oriental Region. The role focuses on designing, modelling and detailing mechanical parts and assemblies, with an emphasis on precise injection‑moulded plastic components for automotive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD tools.
• Maintain CAD files, project documentation and Bill of Materials in SAP.
• Ensure products meet initial targets and manage change requests from internal or external stakeholders.
• Interpret and implement all technical requirements from customers and internal teams.
• Support and interface with internal and external customers throughout the development cycle.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews and define critical component characteristics.
• Develop PV test plans, review results with customers and contribute to DFMEA analyses.
• Prepare product specifications, handling manuals and related documentation.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of post‑graduation design experience.
• Experience modelling and detailing parts, preferably injection‑moulded plastic components.
• Basic knowledge of FEM simulation.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing using CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with automotive connector standards (LV214, USCAR‑21, GMW3191).
• Basic FEM simulation capabilities.
• Experience with SAP for BOM and document management.
• Understanding of DFMEA methodology.
