Program Officer

About the role

The Program Officer will drive the design, coordination and delivery of Renew Capital’s startup and ecosystem programs across Africa. Working at the operational core, you will ensure activities are executed on time, meet quality standards and align with program objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end program operations, managing calendars, masterclasses, workshops and cohort activities.
• Coordinate logistics and readiness for events, including sessions outside regular hours.
• Support startup sourcing, application tracking, selection, onboarding and mentor/coach scheduling.
• Maintain program documentation, track execution metrics and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve tools, templates and workflows for greater efficiency.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in program or project management, operations, consulting, startups, venture capital or entrepreneurship support.
• Strong execution ability and ownership mindset.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder coordination skills.
