Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead supplier and vendor relationships, ensuring the smooth implementation of supply and production strategies across our manufacturing operations. This senior role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and cross‑functional coordination abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor procurement plans aligned with sales forecasts, inventory, and production schedules.
• Manage local suppliers: development, certification, performance evaluation, and optimization.
• Control costs through price inquiries, bidding, annual negotiations, cost analysis, and reduction projects.
• Oversee delivery timelines, manage material shortage risks, and maintain safety stock levels.
• Collaborate on quality issues, drive corrective actions, and support continuous quality improvement.
• Review procurement contracts, execute orders, maintain supplier files, and cooperate with audits.
• Support project procurement, including material nomination, sample procurement, trial production, and mass‑production hand‑over.
• Lead the local procurement team: allocate work, evaluate performance, develop capabilities, and build cross‑department collaboration mechanisms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Mechanical, Materials, Polymer, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing and at least 3 years managing a procurement team.
• Experience in automotive parts, injection molding, painting, or exterior parts is preferred.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, automotive supplier management requirements, and integrity‑based procurement practices.
• Fluent in Chinese and proficient in French or English.
