Python Developer – AI & Retrieval‑Augmented Generation

About the role

PlayPower is looking for a practical, hands‑on Python Developer to design, build, and maintain conversational chatbots and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. The role focuses on implementation and integration of AI features rather than theoretical research, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Digital Transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend logic for RAG‑based chatbots and AI features using Python.
• Orchestrate APIs, large language models, and data sources with frameworks such as Semantic Kernel.
• Deploy, manage, and optimise AI models and services within the Azure AI ecosystem.
• Provide technical mentorship, conduct code reviews, and share best practices with the development team.
• Ensure reliability, speed, and scalability of chatbot integrations.
• Perform additional duties as required by business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Python (production‑grade) and web frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks – Semantic Kernel (or similar like LangChain/LlamaIndex).
• Solid knowledge of Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search).
• Familiarity with vector databases or search engines used in RAG pipelines.
• Ability to mentor junior or mid‑level developers.
