Railway Validation and Verification Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Railway Validation and Verification Engineer to lead testing activities for embedded systems in the railway sector. The role involves defining test strategies, executing validation procedures, and ensuring compliance of signalling subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Define, update and execute test strategies based on system and functional requirements.
• Design, execute and maintain test cases and validation procedures for signalling subsystems.
• Perform non‑regression, delta and gap testing to verify system stability.
• Set up, maintain and support test environments, including test benches, HIL/SIL platforms and laboratory rigs.
• Investigate, track and coordinate resolution of anomalies through change request and defect management.
• Collaborate with design, software and RAMS teams to implement corrective actions and close issues.
• Produce test reports, analyse results and provide validation recommendations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in engineering, specializing in embedded systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in system/product validation, functional testing or integration in a safety‑critical industry (rail, aerospace, automotive).
• Experience managing requirements traceability and validation evidence using tools such as DOORS, Reqtify or EWM.
