Security Operations Specialist – Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Operations Engineer to join our international cybersecurity team. You will be responsible for protecting critical IT environments by leading day‑to‑day security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support daily cybersecurity operations activities.
• Monitor, analyze, and coordinate response to security incidents and threats.
• Drive vulnerability management initiatives and ensure timely remediation.
• Oversee security monitoring processes and contribute to incident investigations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to improve security posture.
• Track security KPIs, KRIs, and service performance metrics.
• Support audit remediation and compliance initiatives.
• Assist in the deployment and adoption of cybersecurity tools and services.
• Act as a trusted advisor on best practices and operational security matters.
• Participate in global cybersecurity programs and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
• Strong background in security operations and incident response.
• Proven expertise in at least several areas such as vulnerability management, application security, network security, endpoint security, data protection, or security governance.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a multicultural, matrixed environment.

Required skills

• Experience with EDR solutions.
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools.
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts (considered a plus).
