Senior Accountant – Casablanca

About the role

Hexcel is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Casablanca site. The role supports the finance function by ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with US and Moroccan GAAP, and effective cash‑flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities by the 3rd working day and analyse complex accounting issues.
• Prepare the bridge between US GAAP and Moroccan GAAP for financial statements.
• Handle monthly and annual tax declarations.
• Review intercompany netting and perform balance‑sheet account analysis each month.
• Control treasury functions to keep site cash flow aligned with forecasts.
• Supervise daily accounting tasks and monitor the work of team members.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent accounting procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Maintain internal controls and establish robust reporting with the external accounting firm.
• Support the implementation and configuration of AX and Sage accounting systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Eligibility to work in Morocco.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Sage accounting software.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP.
• In‑depth knowledge of Moroccan GAAP.
