Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Yakeekey, a fast‑growing PropTech company, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own a specific domain within its digital platform – marketplace, credit, or valuation. You will work on a modern micro‑services architecture, ensuring high‑quality backend solutions that integrate seamlessly with the rest of the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot micro‑services for the assigned domain following domain‑driven design principles.
• Create and expose robust APIs that interoperate with other platform components, adhering to the Model Context Protocol where applicable.
• Collaborate with front‑end, data, DevOps, and AI teams to align designs with cross‑team standards and deployment pipelines.
• Participate in architectural discussions, share domain insights, and contribute to a cohesive platform strategy.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, security, and observability; conduct code reviews and support continuous delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Required profile

• Strong curiosity for next‑generation AI technologies, including LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation, and Model Context Protocol.
• Solid experience building backend systems with deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven understanding of micro‑services architecture and RESTful API design.
