Senior Backend Ruby on Rails Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong Ruby on Rails experience to join one of Proxify’s long‑term remote engagements. You will build modern web applications, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help shape user experiences across various platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain thorough documentation of development processes, code, and system configurations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Rails, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as RSpec and Capybara.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
